I am teaching three courses for the 2023-2024 academic year. They are Filmmaking II (FMPR 332), Sound I (FMPR 340), and Sound II (FMPR 440).
My teaching philosophy revolves around ideas of quadrants that include theory, writing, praxis and critique. Intersecting all four quadrants is the artist and her process. Encompassing the entire paradigm is a circle of liberating parameters.
My teaching methods encourage risk and personal attachment to the work. When it comes to all major projects, students must be able to express why the work is important to them and their reasons for undertaking the project.
